Photo Restoration: Facial and Body Work

Red Eye

Try the automatic Enhance | Auto Redeye Fix first. It actually does a fine job.

Then try using the Red Eye Removal tool. Be sure to open the Tool Options box at the bottom. You can change how dark to make the pupil. We thought the Auto Fix made it too dark.

Surface Blur for Skin Tones

The Surface Blur filter found in Filters | Blur | Surface Blur does wonders for complexions.

This is a bit extreme, but you can see the affect by adjusting the Radius and Threshold values.

You can apply the blur to specific portions of the image by selecting an area first. Be sure to select with a medium-large feather value so the affected area will blend well with the rest.
